Another Hallelujah

Lincoln Brewster's “Another Hallelujah” is a playful, upbeat song about praising God with a simple tune. It begins with a direct statement, “I love You Lord with all my heart. You've given me a brand new start,” then says he just wants to sing a song to God. He even describes the chord pattern, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift, as part of the praise.

The chorus is a single word repeated, “Hallelujah,” and the leader tells the crowd to sing it. The second verse gives reasons for the praise: God is above all, he fills the singer with grace and love, and he deserves a plain thank you. Then comes the line about being pulled “from the miry clay” and given a brand new day, which leads to the same hallelujah. Spoken cues like “sing it again” and “lift it up” are part of the lyric, so it reads like a live moment with a band and congregation. The song stays light, and its point is that praise doesn't need an elaborate script. Someone who feels grateful but is short of words can find a way in here. It works well as an opener or as a short rejoicing moment between longer songs.

A new song and being lifted from the mire is Psalm 40:2-3. New mercies each morning are in Lamentations 3:22-23, and everything that has breath praising the Lord is Psalm 150:6.
