You Are Mine

Hurtful words flood in from every side, and the world "tries to weigh my heart" and tear it down. Verse one admits the scars those lies leave, then breaks off with "Still You say…" and lets God speak. His answer, which becomes the refrain, is addressed to a "weary soul": you are meant to be My bride, blameless by My side, and darkness can't define you.

Verse two shifts from wounds to a long walk home. The singer is "just a stranger here," taking the narrow path with no need to be afraid, and if stumbling comes, the answer is simply to cry out His name. The third verse names restless tears, burdened shoulders, and foolish fears, yet says a song of love keeps "piercing through the noise" and that it won't be much longer.

Isaiah 43:1 supplies the claim of belonging, the bride imagery echoes Ephesians 5, and the stranger on the road matches 1 Peter 2:11. The title line lands last in every refrain, so each pass ends on the same sentence of ownership.
