Getting Ready Reprise (This Is the Blessed Hope)

"We know what happens at the end" is the conviction under this long, rising reprise. Maverick City Music begins by repeating "This is the blessed hope" and then settles on a single promise, "We will see You," picturing the Lion and the Lamb playing together and a Savior with "eyes like fire." The line "We won't just hear about You, we will see You" sets the stakes.

Midway the singing turns toward the nations. "So we'll start right now" returns as every people, tribe and language is named, and the lyric moves into Spanish, "Tú eres digno, Señor" (You are worthy, Lord), before a spoken declaration that every ethnicity will bow and say "Jesus is Lord." Ad-libs add "In America" and "In every country," so the claim stretches across borders.

The closing section borrows from Revelation, with "the sound of many waters," "rolling thunder" and "the marriage of the Lamb" coming, and ends by quoting the old hymn "When We All Get to Heaven," where "What a day of rejoicing" and "sing and shout victory" carry the band toward the finish.
