Song Meaning
Maverick City Music, Kirk Franklin, and Chandler Moore open with a short, repeated declaration rather than a developed verse: "God's got us, He's in control, in control, in control."
"Let Him heal you what you refuse to let go, God can take nothing and make something great, make beautiful things from these ugly mistakes" names the actual obstacle directly — not inability, but refusal — before offering the song's central promise.
"I've seen Him do miracle, yes, the impossible... seen demons, they tremble in fear of what God can do" shifts from personal testimony to something closer to public witness, the kind of claim meant to be said in a room full of people rather than alone.
"God's not a man that He should lie, to win me back, He gave His life, I'm so glad that God's got us" borrows Numbers' own description of God's unshakable reliability almost word for word, applied here as the reason the whole song's confidence isn't misplaced.

[Maverick City Music, (Chandler Moore):]
God's got us (Mm)
He's in control, in control, in control
God's got us (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Let Him heal you what you refuse to let go
(God can) God can take nothing and make something great (Oh)
Make beautiful things from these ugly mistakes (Oh, yeah)
This is the promise (Mm)
God's got us (Oh)
(God) God's got us
(He's in control) He's in control, in control, in control (Yeah, yeah)
God's got us
(Oh, let Him heal) Let Him heal you what refuse to let go
(Say, "God can") God can take nothing and make something great
(He can) Make beautiful things from these ugly mistakes (Oh, yeah)
This is the promise (You got a promise)
(God's got it) God's got us
[Chandler Moore, (Maverick City Music):]
Let the church say (Say, "Yes")
Yeah (Yes)
Oh, I've seen Him do miracle, yes, the impossible (Yes)
Yeah (Yes)
Yeah, seen demons, they tremble in fear of what God can do, oh
[Maverick City Music, (Chandler Moore):]
This is the promise (Oh, oh, yeah, yeah)
I know God's got us (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Sing, "Yes" (Oh, yeah, yeah)
Yes
(I've seen Him do miracle, yeah, the impossible (Yes))
(Seen it with my own eyes (Yes), yeah, yeah, yeah)
Seen demons, they tremble in fear of what God can do (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
(This is) This is the promise (I feel the promise)
That God's get us
[Chandler Moore, (Maverick City Music), {Both}:]
God's not a man that He should lie
To win me back, He gave His life
I'm so glad that God's got us
God's not a man that He should lie
To win me back, He gave His life
I'm so glad that God's got us, yeah
(God's not a man that He should lie) Oh, (I've seen Him do miracles)
(To win me back, He gave His life) (Yes, the impossible), oh, na
(I'm so glad that God's got us) (So I know God's got us, oh), yeah, yeah
(God's not a man that He should lie) (I've seen Him do miracles), oh
(To win me back, He gave His life (Yes, the impossible))
{I'm so glad that God's got us} (So I know God's got us)
[Maverick City Music, {Chandler Moore}:]

{Oh, yeah} (Oh, yes)
{Oh, yeah} (Oh, yes)
My God's got us
{Oh, na-na-na-na-na-na}
There is no doubt about it {There is no doubt in my mind}
I'm amazed how He loves us {I'm amazed 'bout how}
God's not a man that He should lie
To win me back, He gave His life
{Oh, this is} This is the promise {I've got a promise, oh, yeah}
God's got us
[Chandler Moore:]
Oh, yeah, yeah
Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Let the church say, "Yes"
Yes
Yeah
Oh, yeah
Yeah
Oh, yeah, yeah
I'm in His hands today
I'm in His hands, oh yeah

Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah
Yeah, yeah
