Maverick City Music, singing in Spanish, opens by naming what's ending rather than what's beginning: "no hay más lamento y tristeza" — no more lament, no more sadness — "de muerte a vida," from death to life. The second verse names the identity shift directly: "no somos esclavos, mas hijos amados" — we are not slaves, but beloved children — language close to Paul's own contrast between the spirit of fear and the spirit of adoption.

"Tus hijos regresan a casa" — your children return home — sets the whole song inside the shape of the prodigal's welcome rather than a generic celebration; the chorus answers with "hay júbilo y danza, hay libertad en tu casa" — there is joy and dancing, there is freedom in your house.

The bridge drops the celebration language altogether for a direct decision, repeated like a vow: "no hay vuelta atrás, he decidido seguir a Cristo" — there's no turning back, I have decided to follow Christ — closing not on a feeling but on a choice already made.
