A simple, repeated plea runs through this Spanish-language worship song: the singer asks Christ to open his eyes because he wants to see him. The second half widens the request into a vision of God's majesty and the radiance of his glory, and asks for love and power to be poured out while the congregation sings "Santo, Santo, Santo." The thrice-repeated "Holy" echoes the seraphim of Isaiah's temple vision, and the song's central image — eyes opened to behold the King — draws directly on that scene.
