Yes, We Believe

Structured as a series of probing questions that turn into a corporate declaration, this song asks whether the congregation truly believes the core claims of the faith — that Jesus died on a Roman cross, that His blood paid the cost of forgiveness, that He rose and is alive and breathing. The verses move from the cross and resurrection to heaven, then to the present-tense life of God: that He sees suffering, heals the hurting, answers prayer, and still works wonders among us. A later verse presses on His promises and the coming return of the King, before the bridge names the Father, Son, and Spirit and the power in the name of Jesus. Each round of questioning resolves into the same confident refrain, where the gathered voices answer yes and describe themselves as standing on truth, a rock that won't be moved. The repetition is the point — doubt is voiced honestly, then answered together, so that belief becomes something confessed aloud rather than privately assumed.
