I Got Saved

Corey Voss, Charity Gayle, and Crystal Yates build the entire song around one physical image: "there is a river of gladness that pours from Emmanuel's veins, this sinner was plunged beneath the flood and got saved." The baptism language isn't incidental — going under the water and coming back up becomes the whole shape of the testimony.

Zechariah 13:1 promises exactly this kind of fountain: "a fountain opened... for sin and for uncleanness." The song takes that ancient image and puts it in first person, tying it directly to Romans 6:4's picture of being "buried therefore with him by baptism into death," then raised to walk in a new life — which is why the second verse moves straight from the water to "since then I walk in forgiveness, all of my guilt was erased."

The chorus keeps circling back to one word — undone — repeated over "the mercy of Jesus" and "the goodness of the Lord" rather than moving on to new ideas. That repetition is the point: the song isn't building an argument, it's returning again and again to the same moment at the river, because that's the moment the singer keeps saying changed everything.
