Sing It Again

PlanetShakers' “Sing It Again” is an upbeat celebration song. The opening line sets the mood: “Let it begin, our freedom celebration, we'll dance and sing.” The second line calls it “a Holy Ghost party that never stops,” and the lines that follow invite the singer's soul to arise and delight in God's praise.

The chorus is a call to repeat it: “Sing it again, our God reigns, we lift our praise unto Your name again.” It adds that the singing will go on “all round the world,” and gives the reason in one line, “He taught our dead hearts how to beat again.” The bridge widens the invitation to “every tribe and nation,” “every heart and generation,” asking them all to join the celebration and let it be heard. The song uses dance beats and a driving rhythm that mark PlanetShakers' style, and the repeated phrases are easy to pick up. It is a song for a lively service or youth gathering where people want to celebrate being made alive. The central idea is that the freedom Christ gives is something to be shared and sung again and again.

Praising him with dancing is Psalm 149:3. A multitude from every nation is Revelation 7:9, and breath entering dry bones is Ezekiel 37:5.
