We Are One (The Live Experience)

PlanetShakers spend most of this song building toward a single repeated declaration rather than developing complicated theology: "we are one, united, we are one, undivided, we are one, we're moving forward in the power of His love." Unity itself is treated as strong enough to withstand whatever comes against it.

"As we gather before God, we lay down our differences, we lay down our pride" names the actual cost of unity rather than pretending it's automatic. Pride, specifically, gets identified as the thing standing between "many" and "one."

Jesus' own prayer that his followers "may all be one," just as he and the Father are one, gives the song's central claim its exact source, and Paul's instruction to be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit backs up the deliberate effort the bridge describes rather than treating oneness as something that just happens naturally. "We step into the fullness, the fullness of Christ" closes the song by naming what the unity was always actually pointing toward.
