Saviour Song

Rachael Lampa's “Saviour Song” is an upbeat pop song about finding rescue. The first verse recalls a time of being lost and blind, searching for something she could not find, with nowhere to go and no one to carry her. Then He came and called her name, and a touch of His hand took away her shame.

The chorus is a catchy declaration, “He did it, I get it, and now I'm caught up in it! This is my Savior song!” The second verse turns outward and speaks to another person who is thirsty for love and reaching for hope at the end of their rope. It says there is now a trace of love on that face because of grace, and the price has been paid. The bridge quotes the central gospel promise that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, and so everyone can sing to the Savior and King because freedom has been won. The playful chant of “get it, get it” gives the track a youth-group energy, and the lyric is clear about who is responsible for the change. Lampa places the credit with Christ alone, which makes the song a fitting choice for a testimony night or for anyone who wants to sing something simple and bright about being found.
