You are here,Moving in our midst
I worship You I worship You.
You are here, Working in this place
I worship You,I worship You.
Yea, Way maker
Miracle worker, Promise keeper
Light in the darkness, My God.
That is who You are
You are here,Touching every heart
I worship You,I worship You.
You are here, Healing every heart
I worship You, I worship You
You are here,Turning lives around
Way maker, Miracle worker
Promise keeper, Light in the darkness
My God, That is who You are.
Way maker, Miracle worker
Promise keeper,Light in the darkness
My God, That is who You are
You wipe away all tears
You mend the broken heart
You’re the answer to it all,Jesus.
You wipe away all tears
You mend the broken heart
You’re the answer to it all
To it all, Jesus.

Way Maker
Song Meaning
Sinach's “Way Maker” moves from presence to names. The opening declares it, “You are here, moving in our midst / I worship You,” and the title is a four-part description sung in one breath: “Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness.” The line that follows, “That is who You are,” frames the titles as identity and not as requests.
The verses fill in what presence does. “Touching every heart,” “healing every heart,” “turning lives around,” and “meeting every need” are each simple statements, and the lyrics repeat the list with a different object each time. The most tender passage is the bridge, “You wipe away all tears / You mend the broken heart / You're the answer to it all, Jesus.” Sinach, a Nigerian singer, wrote it.
The way-making image comes from Isaiah 43:19, where God makes a way in the wilderness, and the parting of the sea in Exodus 14:21 is the classic example. Mending the broken heart reflects Psalm 147:3, and wiping away every tear is the promise of Revelation 21:4.
