Skillet turns a simple call-and-response into a pledge of mutual loyalty on "Each Other." The opening lines trade belonging back and forth — "I am yours, you are mine" — before settling into the image of a friend who refuses to fade from view, followed by the pleading question of whether they'll stay. That question becomes the song's engine: the chorus repeats the twin commands to hold on to faith in one another and to let go of pain, framing belief as something exercised on behalf of another person rather than held privately. The second verse adds urgency with the reminder that time is short, then pivots from staying to standing, asking a friend to rise one more time.
