All Creatures of Our God and King

Sovereign Grace Music sings the classic Francis of Assisi hymn in a modern arrangement. The opening call asks every creature to lift a voice, and then the sun with its golden beam and the silver moon with softer gleam are summoned in turn. Each stanza ends on the same refrain, "O praise Him! Alleluia!"

The second verse widens from nature to doctrine. Creation is told to bless its Creator in humbleness, and the praise lands on "the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, Three-in-One." By the third verse the singers are no longer the sun and moon but "the redeemed, washed by His blood," invited to rejoice and to "cast all your burdens now on Him" because Christ has defeated every sin.

The final verse looks ahead to a return "in pow'r to reign," when heaven and earth join in one voice. The structure echoes Psalm 148, where sun, moon and stars are called to praise the Lord, and Revelation 5:13, where every creature in heaven and on earth joins the song.
