Song Meaning
Victory Worship builds "Come To The Well" almost entirely out of Isaiah's invitation to the thirsty — "come to the well, drink and be well, buy without paying the price." The economic language stays deliberately paradoxical throughout, an exchange with no real cost to the one receiving it, which is exactly Isaiah's own point about grace that can't be earned.
"In the dry land, my water it heals and revives... in the wasteland, my river of joy is your life" pulls the imagery toward John's Gospel as well, where Jesus identifies Himself directly as the source rather than merely the giver of living water. The pronoun shift from "my" to "your" river tracks a shift from God speaking to the congregation responding, the same offer now being claimed rather than simply described.
The repeated "Jesus the life" strips the song down to its simplest possible statement by the end — not an explanation of the well, just the name of the one it leads to.
