Greater Is He

Fear and doubt are named plainly in the opening lines: "There are days / When I feel afraid," followed by the promise "I won't be shaken." Anthony Evans rests his confidence on what surrounds him, God's love, rather than on circumstances, and the verse settles into a motto: "I don't walk by what I see / I have faith and I believe."

The chorus turns that belief into a claim about who lives inside the believer, "Greater is He that's in me," with victory stated outright. The second verse shifts from feeling to footing, standing "on your word" because it never fails, and trusting that God's strength is perfect "in me."

A closing section widens the focus to the name that "can heal" and "can save," calling God the "Hope of Salvation" and "God of the Nations." The whole song sits close to 1 John 4:4, 2 Corinthians 5:7 and Acts 4:12.
