Drawing from the nighttime encounter between Nicodemus and Jesus, this song retells the story of a learned Jewish leader who comes to the Lord under cover of darkness. The lyrics capture Nicodemus's astonishment as Christ speaks of being born again, a concept that leaves the educated teacher puzzled, like a child struggling to grasp a profound truth. The song then turns to the listener with a direct invitation: come and be born anew, for the same power that has saved many can save you too. It emphasizes that the only requirement is faith in Jesus, who brings light and the chance for a fresh start. The narrative weaves Scripture into a personal call, reminding us that spiritual rebirth is not about human understanding but about trusting in Christ's saving work.
