Dios De Promesas (God of Promises)

Elevation Worship opens with a refusal to wait passively — "no esperaré a ver los muros caer," they won't wait to see the walls fall, because they're already certain the walls will come down before God's name. The confidence isn't hedged; it's declared before the outcome is visible.

Their chorus stacks title after title rather than settling for one description — "eres la luz," "vences tinieblas," light that overcomes darkness, and finally, unmistakably, "Jesús El Gran Yo Soy," Jesus the great I AM. The song moves from promise to resurrection in a single verse: "cadenas rompió, Cristo dio libertad, resucitó" — chains broken, freedom given, risen.

God names himself "I AM THAT I AM" to Moses in Exodus 3:14, the same title Elevation Worship gives directly to Jesus, and Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that every promise of God finds its "yes" in Christ. The song's title becomes its own argument — not simply a God who makes promises, but one whose very name guarantees they'll be kept.
