Our God

Christafari covers Chris Tomlin's “Our God” in a reggae arrangement. The first lines review what Jesus has done, “Water You turned into wine, opened the eyes of the blind, there's no one like You, none like You.” They add that he shines “into the darkness” and that “out of the ashes we rise.”

The chorus is built on comparisons. “Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God, You are higher than any other, our God is healer, awesome in power.” The bridge asks the question that ends the song, “If our God is for us, then who can ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what can stand against?” Christafari keeps the original lyrics but adds a few sung interjections that fit the island rhythm, so the song feels lighter than the stadium version.

Water made wine is John 2:9, and the sight given to the blind man is John 9:6-7. The bridge quotes Romans 8:31.
