How you deliver how you deliver

Now and forever I will remember you

I Will Remember
Song Meaning
“I Will Remember,” from Crossroads Music, is a song about choosing what to hold on to. The first verse makes it a morning habit: “In the morning when I wake up / I will remember all the ways that You are faithful.” The second verse remembers the other side, “Through the storm and the darkness / Waves crashing over,” and the one line that answers it, “You are always right here with me / Pulling me closer.”
The pre-chorus speaks to the singer's own soul, “Be not downcast, O my soul / Where there's breath there is hope,” and the chorus responds with the invitation “Let everything inside us rise up / Praise the Lord, O my soul.” The bridge is the most direct comfort in the song: “Sorrow may last for a night / But joy comes in the morning,” then “Darkness can't stay for too long / 'Cause here comes the dawn.” Credits list Austin Livingood, Robbie Reider, Steve Fee and Jesse Reeves as writers.
Psalm 42:5, “Why, my soul, are you downcast?”, is the source of the pre-chorus, and Psalm 30:5 gives the bridge its night-and-morning line. The promise of daily faithfulness matches Lamentations 3:22-23, where mercies are new every morning.
