Do It Again + Alpha And Omega

Song Meaning

Elevation Worship spends the verses circling one repeated claim from different angles: "walking around these walls, I thought by now they'd fall, but You have never failed me yet." The Jericho imagery stays implicit — walls, waiting, a battle already decided — without the song ever naming the story directly.

"I know the night won't last, Your Word will come to pass" treats the current wait as temporary by definition, not by wishful thinking. The confidence isn't in the outcome changing quickly; it's in the outcome being certain regardless of the timeline.

The song then folds into an entirely different piece — Erasmus Mutambira's "Alpha and Omega" — without much transition: "You are Alpha and Omega, we give You all the glory." Revelation's own naming of God as "the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end" gives the second half its title outright, while Lamentations' declaration that God's mercies are new every morning sits behind the first half's repeated "great is Your faithfulness."

Walking around these walls

I thought by now they'd fall

But You have never failed me yet

Waiting for change to come

Knowing the battle's won

For You have never failed me yet

Your promise still stands

Great is Your faithfulness, faithfulness

I'm still in Your hands

This is my confidence, You've never failed me yet

I know the night won't last

Your Word will come to pass

My heart will sing Your praise again

Jesus, You're still enough

Keep me within Your love

My heart will sing Your praise again

I've seen You move, You move the mountains
