Suddenly (Ps.121)

Hollyn borrows Psalm 121's opening question and lets it drive the entire song in "Suddenly (Ps.121)" — "I tuned my ear to the ground, which way you comin' from? And I looked to the sky for a sign, which way you comin' from?" The searching is active and physical, checking multiple directions rather than passively waiting.

"Caught me by surprise, and I knew it the whole time, I was waiting on the front lines, you flew in with such a stride, like a thief comes in the night" holds two things together that don't usually go side by side — genuine surprise and long expectation, both true about the same arrival. "And I'm in bride white" shifts the song's imagery suddenly from watchtower to wedding.

"All of a sudden, I'm on the wings of a dove, peace like a fountain, flowing from within me" answers the opening question not with a direction but with an arrival already complete — the "which way" no longer matters once the waiting is actually over.
