Israel Houghton moves between Spanish and English without treating either as the 'real' language of the song — 'te amo' and 'I love you' are given equal weight, repeated back to back rather than one translating the other. The verses build a specific list of reasons rather than staying at a vague 'I love you, Lord': 'your word remains forever,' 'your name, Jesus, the same yesterday, today, forever' — Hebrews 13:8's language almost word for word — and 'your grace that broke the chains of sin and shame.'

The hook 'your love never fails me' echoes 1 Corinthians 13:8's claim that love, unlike prophecy or knowledge, doesn't run out. T-Bone's guest verse shifts the song's register entirely, into a personal testimony of finding purpose after emptiness ('mi alma estaba tan vacía, but now I finally found what I was missing') — a different voice making the same claim the chorus already made, that this love is something concrete enough to fill an actual void, not just a devotional feeling.
