It is So

Elevation Worship opens with a promise that reaches past failure rather than around it — "there is a promise that points beyond my failure," even the worst mistakes reframed as "miracles in the making." The song doesn't ask listeners to pretend their failures didn't happen; it asks them to trust what's still being made out of them.

Their chorus borrows language straight from an old prophecy: "by your stripes I am healed, with one touch I am made whole." Elevation Worship pairs physical healing with emotional steadiness — "in the storm You are peace, and Your love won't let me go" — treating both as settled facts rather than requests still pending.

Isaiah describes the suffering servant whose wounds bring healing in Isaiah 53:5, and Paul's confidence in Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good matches the song's claim that "in every season, Your purpose is unchanging." The repeated title, "it is so," treats God's spoken word as already settled — not a hope still waiting to be confirmed, but a fact already declared.
