Kill The Dragon

Kierra Sheard tells the entire gospel as a single conversation between a father and son, without ever naming God, Jesus, or the church directly — 'son, here's what I want you to do... could you kill the dragon, save the girl' lets the fairy-tale structure carry theology that would otherwise require much more direct language to state.

'He's got a trap down in the world... and you can have her for your bride, but this will cost your life' reworks Revelation 12:9's 'great dragon... the old serpent' and Revelation 19:7's marriage of the Lamb into a single unbroken narrative — rescue and marriage as the same act, not two separate rewards. 'Love will open with the key, drenched in blood and suffering, the greatest story ever heard' names the cost plainly rather than glossing past it, and the father's own acknowledgment — 'I already know that it's uncomfortable for a father to ask this of his son' — gives the request an emotional weight that a more direct retelling of the crucifixion might skip.
