Excellent

One word, repeated until it becomes a chant: "Excellent." Koryn Hawthorne builds the track as a swaggering declaration, asking "Who got the juice? I do" and "Who got the drip?" and describing a confidence so natural it is "built inside you." The braggadocio is the genre's usual register, but the credit gets redirected in the second verse.

Pride is checked by a quick turn to the source. "I'm only getting better, 'cause I know He's first," she says, and when she anticipates the charge of bragging, the reply is "take it up with the One that sent me / it ain't my fault He got me doing the most." That puts the confidence in a calling rather than in self-promotion.

The hook sets a high bar: "If it's good, I don't want it," with "excellent" the only acceptable standard. She also says she is "tired of acting like I ain't plugged with the plug," refusing to hide her faith in places like the club, where even "thugs" show her love. Colossians 3:23 and 1 Corinthians 10:31 tie doing everything well to doing it for God, and Psalm 139:14 grounds the confidence in being wonderfully made.
