Slow Walk

Mary Mary keep this one deliberately unhurried, repeating "don't miss this moment, don't let it pass you by" as a warning against rushing rather than a call to speed up. "Time keeps moving and it never rewinds" gives the patience its urgency — slow isn't the same as careless here.

The verse treats big dreams and careful process as partners rather than opposites: "you can make it there with a lot of work and a lot of prayer... take your time, gotta be precise, gotta have a plan." Ambition doesn't get abandoned, it gets paired with patience and counsel — "someone's gone before, maybe talk to them... after you do, go and talk to Him."

That two-step of seeking wisdom from people who've walked the road, then bringing it to God, echoes James' instruction that anyone lacking wisdom should simply ask, generously given without reproach. Proverbs' observation that a person plans their way while the Lord establishes the steps sits underneath the song's whole premise — the plan matters, but so does the pace it gets walked at.
