Eze Ebube II/Grace found me

Neon Adejo opens with an admission that words fall short: "More than my mouth can testify, more than my mind can comprehend." The title itself carries the confession — "Eze Ebube" is Igbo for "King of Glory," echoing Psalm 24's question, "Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Hosts, He is the King of glory." Adejo isn't describing a concept from a distance; he's naming the one who "found me worthy" when he had no case to make for himself.

The verses trace a before-and-after without dwelling on the details of the fall, choosing gratitude over explanation: "My heart is full of gratitude, to you and no one else but you." That refusal to credit anything but grace carries into the chorus, which repeats "I know it's your grace" like someone still catching up to what happened to them. The closing line of the second verse, "thank you Jesus for not giving up on me," reads less like a lyric and more like a private prayer set to music.

Paul's words to the Philippians frame the same confidence Adejo is singing toward: "he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." "Eze Ebube" isn't asking whether the King of Glory will finish what he started — it's already singing the praise due him for having done it.
