All In His Plan

PJ Morton begins “All In His Plan” with an honest admission: “Can I be honest? Sometimes I don't understand. Why do You let me fall, when the world is in Your hands?” He says God could stop it all and instead lets him go through it, but he adds that he knows it will not kill him, “only make me strong.”

The chorus turns the doubt into a decision to keep trusting. “I know it's all for a purpose, I know it will all be worth it, I just gotta keep on believing, and I have to know it is in His plan.” The verse that follows speaks to the listener. “So forget about the problems you're in, because He already worked it out in the end. So I dare you to trust Him, right where you are.” A spoken section near the end says it may not have happened on purpose, but it was for a purpose, and that there can be no passing without first a test. It asks the listener to remember the night they cried and the time they wanted to give up. The backing vocals echo each line, so the message is repeated until it settles.
