Fullness Of God

Rivers & Robots set Colossians 1:15-19 to music almost without paraphrase — "He is the image of the invisible God... the firstborn over all creation... in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell." Paul's own hymn about Christ's supremacy over creation supplies the entire theological center of the song.

"We are citizens of a heavenly home" reaches for Philippians 3:20's claim that "our citizenship is in heaven," and "this life that we now live is no longer our own" extends that identity into present practice rather than leaving it as future hope. "He'll never change, from age to age He stays the same" closes the song on the same consistency named elsewhere in scripture, stability treated as the ground for everything else the song has already claimed.
