Bigger Than

Sinach builds this worship anthem on a single, repeated confession: God keeps His word across "a thousand generations," through shifting seasons and ages. That opening line anchors everything that follows, turning the song into a meditation on divine faithfulness rather than a request. The chorus leans on the title phrase, insisting that God exceeds anything the mind can picture or the heart can dream up, and the repetition of the name Jesus becomes the song's resting point. The middle section shifts into testimony, cataloging "breathtaking wonders," miracles, and blessings poured out, and naming God as the God of wonders who keeps His promises. From there the language grows more declarative: bigger than the biggest, better than the best, undefeated. The arc moves from remembered faithfulness to present experience to outright exaltation, with very little in the way of petition. It's a song built for corporate singing, where short phrases and heavy repetition let a congregation lock in quickly and stay there. The closing return to the chorus brings the focus back to the gap between human imagination and who God actually is.
