Remember

Sinach builds this song around a single act of memory: looking back at what God has already done and letting that record fuel expectation for what comes next. The opening lines credit God with going ahead of the singer through every season, and the victory is framed as something received rather than achieved — "I won because You brought me through." That gratitude turns into the chorus's simple resolve, repeating that the God who acted before will act again. The bridge leans on the language of a finished work, pairing "it is finished" with a congregational "Amen," then extends that yes over family, business, finances, and "everything concerning me." The declaration that the latter will be greater, moving from glory to glory, gives the song its forward thrust, and the repeated Amens near the end turn personal testimony into something a room can say together. It is a song about remembering as an act of faith — not nostalgia, but evidence used to steady the heart for a new year.
