Jina Lake Yesu

Amani sings almost entirely in Swahili here, and the title itself is the thesis: "jina lake Yesu" means "the name of Jesus," and "sifu" means "praise" — the whole song is built around that one repeated command to praise the name, not around building an argument toward it.

The verses stack titles for Jesus rather than describing feelings about him: "Yeye ni Alpha na Omega" ("He is Alpha and Omega"), "nuru ya dunia" ("light of the world"), "mkate wa uzima" ("bread of life"). "Basi njoo, tumwabudu" — "so come, let us worship him" — is the song's actual instruction, repeated as the natural response to a list of titles this specific.
