Jeremy Camp names the exact texture of the present moment before offering any comfort about it — "these days my heart's always on the run," "the world's spinning out of control," "feels like the worst is ahead of us" — refusing to soften the anxiety of the era the song is written into. "Sometimes it's hard to feel at home" admits displacement rather than pretending faith automatically produces comfort.

The turn is a claim about timing and identity together: "I believe that you and I are in the right place at the right time, God called us by name, and He doesn't make mistakes."
