At just two lines repeated, this is closer to a chant than a song: "Jehovah is Your Name... mighty warrior, great in battle." Both phrases draw on Exodus 15:3 — "The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name" — sung by Moses and Israel right after crossing the Red Sea, the Bible's first recorded worship song. Calling God a warrior isn't metaphorical there; it follows an army being defeated in the sea moments earlier. The brevity is the point: rather than describing what God has done, the song just holds His name and character in place, the way Israel's original song did before it moved into narrating the crossing itself.
