Passion's "The Lord Will Provide" takes its two central images straight from Jesus's own teaching on worry — flowers that don't labor yet are clothed in beauty, sparrows that lack for nothing despite doing nothing to secure their next meal. The song doesn't paraphrase that teaching so much as sit inside it, verse after verse returning to the same two pictures rather than expanding the list. "Seek first the kingdom and its treasures, everything else it will be added" lifts the passage's actual conclusion almost word for word, the promise that comes right after Jesus tells his listeners to stop worrying about what they'll eat or wear. The repeated line "my Father has it" works as the song's plain translation of that whole argument into something closer to how a child might say it — not an elaborate theology of provision, just calm confidence that the need is already covered by someone who's covered it before. That simplicity is deliberate; the song trusts repetition to do what argument would otherwise have to do.
