Famous For (I Believe)

Belief comes first in this duet from Tauren Wells and Jenn Johnson: "There is no fear 'cause I believe, there is no doubt 'cause I have seen." What the singers have seen is God's faithfulness, named as a fortress, repeated "over and over" like a memory worth rehearsing.

The chorus is a request built from Bible stories. God is asked to "make way through the waters," walk the singer through fire, "shut the mouths of lions," and "bring dry bones to life," each time to do what He is "famous for." The line works as a petition and as a résumé at once, since every image points to something Scripture says He has already done.

A later section invites the Spirit to come and fall, then pushes toward the language of Ephesians: "God of exceedingly, God of abundantly, more than we ask or think." It closes with confidence that "all things are possible in You." Daniel's deliverance from the lions, Ezekiel's valley of dry bones, Isaiah 43:2's promise through water and fire, and Ephesians 3:20 all stand behind the lyric.
