ZimPraise builds this song around one of the more unsettling stories in Acts: Ananias and Sapphira, who sold a piece of land, kept back part of the money, and then lied about it to the apostles — and to the Holy Spirit. "Buz'uSafira lendoda yake" — ask Safira and her husband — the lyrics say, before answering their own question: "ayabulala amanga," lies kill.

The chorus turns that history into a direct warning, repeating "iphelele, yiyo yonke" (this is all of it), the very words Sapphira used before Peter exposed her deception. From there the song widens its target from one couple to "bonke abaghamba amanga" — all who lie — declaring the devil himself a liar, in Ndebele and Shona both, as if the truth needed saying twice to land.

But the last verse turns from warning to reassurance: "zvakanaka ndezvedu," good things are ours. Having named deceit for what it costs, the song ends by insisting that what God has promised is real and doesn't need to be lied for or about.
